Although the season hasn’t lived up to the expectations set out for the Minutewomen they remain focused on taking the rest of the season one game at a time. Coming off one of their most exciting wins of the season, a 61-59 victory at the hands of a buzzer-beater Hailey Lidel layup, the Minutewomen will look to carry their momentum back to the Mullins Center where they have a 6-4 home record. Richmond recently ended their five-game losing streak with an overtime win against VCU, giving them some momentum heading into this matinee matchup as well.

The key for the Minutewomen will be whether they can slow down the Parson sisters and limit the three-point shots made against their aggressive 2-3 zone. In their three conference games they have lost by five or more points the Minutewomen have either given up 10 threes or been out shot from the three-point line. If UMass can control the battle of the three-point line and carry their momentum from Sunday’s game they could begin to string together some conference wins to end the season.
